EYEBROW TREATMENTS

The eyebrow services we offer are great for a number of different clients... those looking to thicken and define their natural brows, or those who have very sparse or no hair at all. If your brows are patchy, thin, over-plucked or just not how you'd like them, no matter what shape, size or condition your current eyebrows are in, together we can create the eyebrows you’ve always envied.

Healed Powder Brow: creating a soft and natural healed finish, that’s looks like a softly powdered brow.

How semi-permanent / permanent is it?
Semi-permanent means it will fade over time, and that if you want to keep your brows looking vibrant, top up appointments will be needed to maintain this look. Semi-permanent DOES NOT mean it will 100% fade away. You may always be left with remnants of ink under your skin, even 10 years from now. Everyone's bodies will process the ink differently, as well as your lifestyle choices affecting the longevity of the tattoo. Cosmetic tattooing is still a tattoo, so before anyone tells you any differently, please bare in mind that whether or not you refresh your eyebrows annually, you may still be left with a shadow if you don't wish to continue with annual top ups.

What is machine method or combination brows?
• Created with a machine, more like a traditional tattoo machine. This does not mean it is any more permanent.
• More like make up, looking fuller and filled in.
• Less detailed style working for most skin types (oily, combination, textured skin etc).
• Results can be soft or bold depending on desired outcome.
• Great for clients who want to upgrade from microblading.
• Machine brows are a good solution for covering old SPMU.
• Annual top ups are usually around 18 months, skin and lifestyle dependant.

EYEBROW TREATMENT - STEP BY STEP

∙  Consultation – at this time we can go through your need and ensure we are managing your expectations of the healing phase and end result.
∙  Skin patch test – we will use a lancet and add a small amount of pigment to ensure you have no allergic reactions.
∙  For your first eyebrow appointment, please allow no less than 3 - 3.5 hours.
∙  When you arrive there will be a comprehensive form to complete before we can begin the session, this can also be completed at the consultation prior.
∙  We will take some 'before' pictures to keep as reference (for myself and insurance purposes) and to use on social media.
∙  We'll map your brows using your natural facial features. I'll measure and draw on (with a pencil) eyebrows that work with your face shape.
∙ Once the shape is complete and you are happy, we will find a pigment colour that matches you skin tone, eye colour and brow hair.  ∙ Throughout the session, you will be sat up and down several times to adjust and improve symmetry.
∙  Once I am totally happy with the result, you can see your new brows and let me know of any changes!
∙  When we have finished your appointment I’ll take some ‘after’ pictures.
∙  You will receive thorough aftercare advice and will receive an aftercare kit and strict aftercare instructions.
∙  We’ll book your included top up appointment if we haven't already booked this in.
∙  At your 5-9 week touch up appointment we will go back over the brows the same way we did the first time, unless you would like to make any changes.
∙  Your healed brows should then last you around 12-18 months, or longer, before needing further work.

PRE-APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

∙ Please wash your hair before the procedure (to decrease risk of soaking your brows during the first few days after your session).
∙ Please exfoliate your brows a day or two before your appointment to remove any dry skin build up.
∙ To reduce bleeding, no alcohol, coffee or energy drinks on the day of your appointment.
∙ To reduce bleeding, no alcohol, niacin, aspirin or ibuprofen for 24 hours before your treatment.
∙ For good skin quality, no plucking or waxing 1 week before the treatment.
∙ If your brow hair is lighter than the colour you’d like, please tint your brows 1 week before your appointment. Please bare in mind you will need to keep up with this maintenance or else your hairs will always look lighter than your tattoo.
∙ Clients with oily skin should use distilled witch hazel for 1 week before the treatment.
∙ For good skin quality, no sunbeds or sunbathing for 1 - 2 weeks before the treatment.
∙ You must wait 4 weeks before/after having filler or Botox around the area to allow it to settle

EYEBROW TATTOO HEALING PROCESS

Day of service: It’s really normal for your brows to feel tight, tender or similar to sunburn. Your brows will look warmer (more red/orange) than they will heal as you're seeing the ink in open, irritated skin, not healed skin. During the following few days, any tenderness will start to ease.

Days 2 - 5: Your brows will start to look darker as the thin protective film develops (not a scab). They will not heal this colour so do not panic! Leave the film alone – picking will cause irritation, can cause scarring and will lift colour from the skin resulting in unevenness and blank spots. The film will stay intact for a few days and will start flaking away when the skin underneath is ready.

Days 6 - 10: The film will start peeling by itself and can make the area feel itchy. Try not to scratch or pull the film off prematurely.

Days 10 - 14: Once the film has fully lifted the ink implanted will look around 50% lighter, will have neutralised now that your skin is sat over the top of it, and the shape may have also shrank in size slightly. Your brows currently have healing skin over them which is thicker than ‘normal’ skin, and this will be somewhat masking what you can see.

Although you will feel as though your brows are healed at this point, they’re not quite there yet. Please treat the area with care for the next 4 weeks as your skin is still regenerating and needs time to settle down.

Weeks 4 - 6: As your healing skin settles down you should notice the colour blooming and some definition returning. The colour will probably still feel a little light as you were used to having such dark brows for that first week, but this is what the top up is for. If you liked your brows when you left the first appointment (shape, colour, style etc.), we will do the exact same thing again at your touch up. It’s always easier to add more ink and go darker at the top up, than it is to reverse going too dark at your first session.
After your touch up: The ink usually holds better as we are building on top of that first layer of in. Your brows won’t fade as much and will feel and look healed quicker than the first time. It’s important to wait until your eyebrows are properly healed before making a final judgement about them. This treatment is a two-step process requiring patience (with some clients needing a second touch up) to get the full desired look, which won’t be achieved until both sessions are complete and healed.
